KSE-100 Experiences Volatile Trading Session Amid Market Gains

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index (KSE-100) witnessed a volatile trading session, closing with a gain of 440 points at 136,380. The trading day saw the index reach a high of 1,293 points and a low of 397 points, reflecting fluctuating market dynamics.

The session marked an increase in trading volumes by 11% compared to the previous day, indicating improved market participation. The KSE-100 is currently trading 23.5% above its 200-period moving average, highlighting a sustained upward trend. Volatility remains near its 10-period average, suggesting stable market fluctuations, while volume indicators show moderate buying interest, signaling a mildly bullish sentiment.

Trend forecasting tools maintain a bullish outlook for the index, consistent over the last 40 periods. However, the momentum oscillator indicates that the index is in an overbought zone, cautioning traders.

Immediate support is identified at 135,900. If breached, the index may decline further toward 135,300 and 134,700. On the resistance front, levels are expected around 136,800, with potential targets at 137,250 and 137,900. Traders are advised to adopt a cautious approach, accumulating positions near the defined support zone and managing risks accordingly.
