KSE-100 Experiences Volatility, Closes Lower in Recent Session

Karachi: The KSE-100 Index underwent a volatile trading session, opening positively but closing with a significant loss, reflecting uncertainty among investors at Pakistan’s main stock exchange.

According to AKD Securities Limited, the KSE-100 reached a high of 526 points during the session but eventually closed down by 205 points at 78,283 points. The session also saw a decrease in trading volume by 18% compared to the previous session. The Bollinger Bands, a measure of volatility, indicated that fluctuations were narrower than usual, suggesting a lower level of volatility than the Index’s normal range.

Technical analysis from AKD Securities suggests that the index might find initial support around 78,200 points, with potential further drops to 77,800 and 77,500 points if this level is breached. Conversely, resistance might appear near 78,800 points, with possibilities to rise towards 79,100 and 79,400 points. Investors are advised to consider buying near the support zone with clearly defined risks.
