KSE-100 Gains 755 Points, E and P and Fertilizer Sectors Lead Market Activity


Karachi: The KSE-100 index posted a gain of 755 points, closing at 82,722 as volumes stood at 320 million shares, down from 361 million shares in the previous session. The day saw broad-based buying, with notable activity in the exploration and production (E and P) and fertilizer sectors.



According to JS Global, key volume leaders included WorldCall Telecom Limited (WTL), Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL), Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL), SG Global Logistics (SLGL), and Flying Cement Company Limited (FLYNG). The report highlighted that institutional portfolio realignments from fixed income to equities are expected to support further positive sentiment in the market.



Across the broader market, the KSE-30 index also saw an increase, gaining 307 points to close at 26,382. Key gainers for the day included Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC), Nishat Mills Limited (NML), and FFBL, while Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MARI), TRG Pakistan Limited (TRG), and Attock Refinery Limited (ATRL) were among the top decliners.
