KSE-100 Index Closes Lower After Volatile Trading Session

Karachi: The KSE-100 index closed lower after a day of volatile trading, shedding 755 points to finish at 116,020. The trading volume increased by 15% compared to the previous session, reflecting heightened market activity.

The index's performance was marked by fluctuations, reaching a high of 648 points and a low of 999 points during the session. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator remains below its signal line, maintaining a bearish outlook since its crossover seven sessions ago. In this period, the index has gained 0.97%, moving between 117,602 and 110,104.

Technical analysis points to immediate support at 115,800. Breaching this level may lead to further declines toward 115,300 and 114,500. Conversely, resistance is anticipated around 116,700, with potential upward targets at 117,500 and 118,200.
