KSE-100 Index Closes with Gains Amid Volatile Trading Session

Karachi: The KSE-100 Index experienced significant volatility in the latest trading session, ultimately closing with a gain of 928 points at 111,351. The session saw fluctuations with the index dipping to a low of 176 and reaching a high of 1,620 points. Trading volumes increased by 7% compared to the previous session.

According to AKD Securities Limited, the past 50 trading periods have seen a prevalence of white candles over black, with a net of 12 white candles. Despite this, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains in negative territory, having crossed below its signal line five periods ago. Since this crossover, the index has risen by 4.78%, fluctuating between a high of 115,036 and a low of 105,601.

Key support is identified near 110,800, with potential declines to 110,200 and 109,500 if breached. Resistance levels are projected initially at 112,500, with further targets at 113,200 and 114,600. The recommendation is to accumulate positions with risk management below the supportive zone.
