KSE-100 Index Dips Amid Volatility, Closing Down 976 Points

Karachi: The KSE-100 index experienced significant volatility on Tuesday, ultimately closing down by 976 points at 185,543. Despite opening on a strong note, the index fluctuated between an intraday high of 1,386 points and a low of 1,319 points.

Market participation saw a slight improvement, with trading volumes increasing by 1% compared to the previous session. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator remains in bullish territory, having crossed above its signal line nine sessions ago. Since this bullish crossover, the index has advanced 7.62%, ranging between 187,905 and 171,146.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 82.74, suggesting that the market is in an overbought condition. Technical analysis indicates immediate support at 185,300, with potential declines to 184,700 and 183,300 if this level is breached.

Resistance is anticipated at 186,500, followed by 187,500 and 188,200. Analysts recommend accumulating positions during market weakness, with risk strategies centered around the support zone.
