KSE 100 Index Experiences Minor Dip Amidst Increased Trading Activity

Islamabad: The KSE 100 index saw a slight decline on September 17, 2025, closing at 156,177.82, down 3.12 points (0.00%). This marginal decrease occurred despite a significant surge in trading activity on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The benchmark KSE 30 index also experienced a fractional dip, closing at 47,678.47, a decrease of 35.92 points (0.08%). Intraday trading saw the KSE 30 reach a high of 48,019.31 and a low of 47,601.18, while the KSE 100 fluctuated between 157,196.59 and 155,960.36.

Regular market turnover witnessed a substantial increase, reaching 1,499,302,473 shares compared to the previous day's 1,356,004,531. This surge in volume was accompanied by a rise in traded value, reaching 48,851,129,550 compared to 43,278,353,669. Market capitalization saw a marginal decrease, settling at 18,357,572,707,091, down from 18,383,208,691,842.

Futures trading also registered an increase in volume and value, with 270,465,500 shares traded for a value of 12,441,533,185, up from 243,044,500 shares and 10,408,762,140 respectively. Off-market deliverable (ODL) trading saw minimal activity.
