The index eventually closed 1,613 points lower at 150,399. Trading volumes increased by approximately 33% compared to the previous session, indicating improved market participation.
According to AKD Securities Limited, the KSE-100 is currently trading around 5.8% below its 200-period moving average, suggesting that the market is still in a corrective phase. Volatility remains subdued compared to the average of the past 10 periods, pointing to a potential expansion in volatility and sharper price movements in the near future. Volume indicators reflect balanced inflows and outflows, indicating a neutral trend.
From a technical standpoint, immediate support for the index is at 150,100, with a potential decline toward 149,200 and 148,100 if breached. Resistance is expected around 151,400, followed by 152,800 and 153,800. It is advised to trade cautiously and use stop-loss strategies below supportive areas.
