KSE-100 Index Holds Steady Above Key Moving Average Amid Volatility

Karachi: The KSE-100 index experienced a day of fluctuations, ultimately closing 120 points lower at 181,310, but managed to maintain its position above a key moving average. Despite the slight drop, trading volumes increased by 16% compared to the previous session, indicating robust market participation.

According to AKD Securities Limited, the index is currently trading 6.4% above its 200-period moving average, supporting its broader upward trajectory. Volatility levels were consistent with the average observed over the past ten sessions. The Parabolic SAR indicator, a tool used to identify potential reversals in market trends, remained below the current index level, suggesting a continuation of the bullish trend.

Technical analysis indicates immediate support at 181,100, with further declines possible to 180,600 and 179,500 if breached. Resistance is projected at 181,700, followed by 182,500 and 183,800. It is advised to accumulate positions with defined risk below the support zone.
