The day’s top performers in terms of price changes were YOUW, GADT, and CNERGY, while CHCC, KTML, and LOTCHEM experienced declines. The trading activity was predominantly focused in the Refinery, Technology, and Power sectors.

According to Taurus Securities Limited, the market movement coincides with a broader set of geopolitical and economic developments. Notably, the news snapshot highlighted ongoing international negotiations and economic efforts involving Pakistan, such as the extension of a ceasefire by President Trump at Pakistan's request and Pakistan's ongoing diplomatic engagement with Iran. Additionally, the country received a second tranche of $1 billion from Saudi Arabia, and discussions about oil prices and regional trade tensions continue to shape financial activities.

In related developments, Pakistan’s hydel power generation reached 5,000 MW, and Azerbaijan expressed readiness to supply LNG to Pakistan.
