The index reached an intraday high of 1,992 points, reflecting robust investor interest and a positive market sentiment.
According to AKD Securities Limited, the KSE-100 Index closed 6.0% below its upper Bollinger Band, with the Bollinger Bands being 34.50% narrower than their normal width, highlighting subdued volatility despite the recent rally. Over the past 10 trading sessions, the market has seen a mix of bullish and bearish activity, resulting in a net of two bearish closes. While the index is trading above its short- and long-term moving averages, it has approached a critical resistance zone that may limit further gains in the near term. The MACD remains in bullish territory after a crossover above its signal line in the previous session, indicating positive momentum.
Technical analysis suggests immediate support at 181,100, with potential declines to 179,500 and 178,300 if breached. Resistance is anticipated around 182,000, followed by 182,800 and 183,800. Accumulating positions with risk management below the support zone is advised.
