KSE-100 Index Sees Positive Session with Modest Gains

Karachi: The KSE-100 index in Pakistan recorded a positive session, closing at 181,398 points, an increase of 887 points from the previous day. Trading volumes amounted to 1,242 million shares, slightly higher than the 1,231 million shares traded in the previous session. The index is anticipated to encounter resistance at 181,869, with potential to reach 184,511 if surpassed. Conversely, a decline may find support between 179,560 and 181,050 levels.

According to JS Global, technical indicators such as the RSI and MACD are showing upward movement, indicating a favorable outlook. Investors are advised to 'Buy on dips', with a defined risk below the 179,564 level. The support and resistance levels are identified at 181,005 and 181,830, respectively. For individual stocks, Maple Leaf Cement Factory (MLCF) closed above its 200-day moving average, with a strategy to 'Buy on dips' targeting Rs106.95 and Rs110.75, with a stop-loss set at Rs100.01. Similarly, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) is expected to continue its consolidation phase, with a 'Buy on dips' strategy targeting Rs307.30 and Rs319.80, and a stop-loss at Rs298.91.
