KSE-100 Index Sees Range-Bound Activity, Faces Resistance at 50-DMA

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange's benchmark KSE-100 index experienced range-bound activity, closing with a gain of 404 points at 177,371, amid a decrease in trading volumes. According to JS Global, the index is expected to encounter resistance at the 50-day moving average (DMA) of 178,737, with potential gains extending to 179,965 if this threshold is surpassed. Conversely, support levels are anticipated between 176,040 and 176,710, with a decline below this range targeting 174,416. Investors are advised to exercise caution with high valuations and consider buying during market dips.

The report also highlights specific stock strategies. For HBL, the Stochastic Oscillator has generated a buy signal, with a recommended strategy of 'buy on dips,' targeting Rs324.79 and Rs331.90, and a stop-loss set at Rs313.12. Similarly, for DGKC, the strategy suggested is 'buy on dips,' with targets of Rs224.51 and Rs227.83, and a stop-loss at Rs218.55.
