KSE-100 Index Sees Volatile Gains Amid Bullish Weekly Trend

Karachi: The KSE-100 index experienced a volatile trading session but managed to close with a significant gain, reflecting a bullish trend on the weekly chart. The index opened strongly, reaching an intraday high of 1,499 points before settling with a 500-point increase at 168,990.

Investor activity surged, with trading volumes increasing by 7% compared to the previous session, suggesting growing market participation. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator remains bullish, maintaining its position above the signal line for the past five sessions. During this period, the KSE-100 has risen by 4.15%, fluctuating between a high of 169,989 and a low of 159,902.

Technical analysis indicates immediate support for the index at 168,500. A decline below this level could trigger further losses, with potential downside targets at 168,100 and 167,500. Conversely, resistance is expected at 169,500, with additional obstacles at 170,000 and 170,600.

Market analysts advise investors to adopt a cautious trading strategy, emphasizing the importance of a trailing stop-loss approach to manage risks in the current market environment.
