Karachi: The KSE-100 index continued its upward trajectory, closing at 168,580, marking an increase of 120 points. Trading volumes rose to 587 million shares, compared to the previous 432 million shares. The index is projected to face resistance at the 169,272 mark, with a potential breakthrough targeting higher levels at 171,405 and 172,370.
According to JS Global, the index's recovery trend is supported by the upward movement of the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and the Stochastic Oscillator. Investors are advised to 'Buy on dips,' with a recommended stop-loss set just below 167,433. Current support and resistance levels are identified at 168,007 and 169,213, respectively.
In other market activity, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) closed above key averages, prompting a 'Buy on dips' strategy with targets set at Rs361.48 and Rs368.89, and a stop-loss at Rs349.01. The Bank of Punjab (BOP) saw its Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) generate a buy signal, with targets of Rs30.53 and Rs31.75, and a stop-loss at Rs28.55.
