KSE-100 Index Shows Steady Gains Amid Positive Indicators

Karachi: The KSE-100 index continued its upward trajectory, gaining 860 points to close at 188,622, with trading volumes of 1,226 million shares compared to 1,199 million in the previous session. The index faces resistance at 188,958, but a breakthrough could target levels of 190,699 and 192,426. Conversely, support is anticipated between 187,190 and 188,260. Investors are advised to consider 'buy on dips' strategies with risk management below 187,192.

According to JS Global, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicators are both advancing, which supports a positive outlook. The report also highlights specific strategies for companies like Maple Leaf Cement Factory (MLCF) and Pakistan State Oil (PSO), recommending a 'buy on dips' approach. MLCF's targets are Rs125.81 and Rs128.97 with a stop loss at Rs119.70, while PSO's targets are Rs511.03 and Rs520.56 with a stop loss at Rs494.50.
