KSE-100 Index Shows Steady Gains, Eyes 200-Day Moving Average

Karachi: The KSE-100 index continued its upward trajectory, closing at 170,885 points, a rise of 1,841 points from the previous day. The trading volume increased to 576 million shares from 386 million, signaling robust investor activity. Analysts anticipate the recovery to persist, with the immediate target set at the 200-day moving average at 172,260 points, which, if surpassed, could aim for 175,486 points. Conversely, any decline may find support in the range of 169,400 to 170,440 points.

According to JS Global, technical indicators such as the RSI and the Stochastic Oscillator are trending upwards, reinforcing the recovery outlook. Investors are advised to 'buy on dips', setting a risk threshold below 169,400 points. The current support and resistance levels are noted at 169,844 and 171,480 points, respectively. In individual stock strategies, the Bank of Punjab's Stochastic Oscillator has generated a buy signal, with a target price range of Rs32.08 to Rs33.37 and a stop-loss at Rs30.66. Meanwhile, DG Khan Cement Company is also recommended for buying on dips, targeting Rs201.72 to Rs206.29, with a stop-loss at Rs189.20.
