Karachi: The KSE-100 Index experienced a significant upward movement, gaining 6,768 points and closing at 155,512, with 663 million shares traded on the market. This substantial increase in the index reflects heightened investor activity and confidence, particularly in the power, banking, and cement sectors.

According to Taurus Securities Limited, notable performances in terms of price change were observed in companies such as Nishat Mills Limited (NML), Adamjee Insurance Company Limited (AICL), and Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL). Conversely, FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FHAM), Pakgen Power Limited (PGLC), and Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited (UPFL) experienced declines. The day's trading activity was primarily concentrated in the power, banks, and cement sectors, indicating focused investor interest in these areas.
