KSE-100 Soars To Record Heights Amidst Increased Trading Activity

Islamabad: The KSE-100 index reached unprecedented levels on Tuesday, surging by a substantial 1,776 points to close at 157,953. This remarkable ascent was accompanied by a significant 51% increase in trading volume compared to the previous day's session.

The benchmark index's intraday high reached 1,905 points, showcasing the strong positive sentiment prevailing in the market. The heightened activity is further evidenced by the widening Bollinger Bands, which expanded by 22.30%. Despite the impressive gains, the KSE-100 still trades 13.5% below its upper band. The index's position, 28.0% above its 200-period moving average, affirms a sustained upward trend.

Volatility remained relatively stable, hovering near its recent 10-period average. Volume indicators suggest robust inflows, bolstering the bullish momentum. Trend oscillators further corroborate this positive market outlook.

Technical analysis indicates immediate support at 157,700. A drop below this level could potentially lead to further declines towards 157,200 and 156,500. Conversely, resistance is expected at 158,400, with additional barriers at 158,800 and 159,400.
