KSE Index Marks New 52-Week High Amidst Mixed Market Performance

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange's benchmark KSE100 index reached a new 52-week high at 117,119.66 points, despite a slight gain of 111.58 points, equivalent to a 0.10% daily increase. The KSE30 index also achieved a new peak of 36,937.02 points with a gain of 72.18 points or a 0.20% rise.

According to JS Global, the market capitalization of the Pakistan Stock Exchange saw a decrease of 0.22%, amounting to Rs 14,637.07 billion, or $52.63 billion. The year-to-date changes for the calendar year 2025 showed an increase of 2.09% for the KSE30 and 1.73% for the KSE100 index, while the fiscal year-to-date gains stood at 46.10% and 49.30%, respectively.

Among the top gainers, MTL experienced a 10.00% increase, reaching a price of Rs 722.81. PSX and PGLC followed with gains of 9.99% and 9.98%, respectively. Conversely, INDU led the list of losers, declining by 4.54% to Rs 2,036.49, while ISL and MLCF saw drops of 4.42% and 4.27%, respectively.

The total trading volume was recorded at 1,037.86 million shares, with a total value of Rs 46.57 billion, or $167.46 million. The 52-week average daily trading volume stood at 571.34 million shares, with a corresponding value of Rs 22.61 billion, or $81.34 million.
