Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) experienced a decline in its major indexes on August 7, 2026, as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indexes closed lower than their previous levels. The KSE30 index fell by 128.56 points, closing at 54,263.26, while the KSE100 index decreased by 346.57 points, ending the day at 181,430.02.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the downturn in the indexes was accompanied by reduced trading activity. The total turnover for regular market transactions dropped to 716,038,560 from the previous 793,353,361, with the traded value decreasing to 34,102,331,510 from 40,313,042,460. Market capitalization also saw a slight reduction, moving from 20,263,676,714,923 to 20,237,748,998,422.
The daily high and low for the KSE30 were 54,349.98 and 54,025.06, respectively, while the KSE100 recorded a high of 181,647.27 and a low of 180,620.08. The percentage change for the KSE30 was -0.24% and -0.19% for the KSE100. Other trading categories such as Deliverable Futures Contracts (DFC) and Odd Lot Deals (ODL) also reported lower figures compared to the previous session.
