Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) experienced a significant uptick in its indices on the trading day ending March 31, 2026. The KSE30 index closed at 45,031.60, marking a rise of 600.19 points, while the broader KSE100 index saw a substantial increase of 1,900.34 points, closing at 148,743.32.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the indices' positive performance was accompanied by a boost in market capitalization, which rose to 16,534,352,967,633 from 16,327,521,538,885. The turnover for regular trading reached 434,958,936, although it was lower than the previous figure of 529,130,204. Despite the lower turnover, the traded value stood at 22,541,513,489, compared to the prior amount of 29,603,119,956. The KSE100 index hit a high of 150,225.63 during the session, while the KSE30 reached a peak of 45,576.14.
