Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange witnessed a significant upswing on Monday, with both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices showing notable increases. The KSE30 index rose by 725.91 points to close at 56,130.40, while the KSE100 index saw an increase of 2,082.49 points, ending the day at 187,454.69.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market experienced a marked improvement in turnover and traded value. The regular market turnover reached 888,404,732, an increase from the previous count of 815,651,307. The traded value in the regular market also surged to 49,980,523,552 from 42,633,552,985. Market capitalization rose to 20,986,192,652,536 from 20,762,789,536,231. The derivative and odd lot markets also registered growth, with derivative trading turnover rising to 148,182,500 and odd lot turnover increasing to 4,242.
The indices reached their highest points at 56,155.18 for KSE30 and 187,546.36 for KSE100, with the lowest points recorded at 55,566.97 and 185,910.39, respectively. The percentage changes for the indices were 1.31% for KSE30 and 1.12% for KSE100, indicating a positive trend across the stock exchange.
