KSE Indices Close Lower as Market Sees Decline in Turnover and Value

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices experienced a notable decline as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices closed lower on September 7, 2026, marking a downturn in market activity. The KSE30 index dropped by 591.67 points, settling at 51,703.16, while the broader KSE100 index fell by 1,692.74 points to close at 173,636.08.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market witnessed a significant decrease in turnover and traded value compared to the previous session. The regular market (REG) recorded a turnover of 679,188,744, down from 874,322,921, with a traded value of 23,692,435,447, a decrease from the previous 32,417,382,768. Market capitalization also saw a reduction, standing at 19,434,527,434,219 from the prior 19,629,218,348,066. The decline in both indices and market metrics reflects the cautious investor sentiment prevailing in the market.
