KSE Indices Decline Amid Decreased Market Capitalization

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange experienced a downturn as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices fell, marking a decrease in market capitalization. The KSE30 index dropped by 899.47 points to close at 52,861.72, a 1.67 percent decline, while the KSE100 index fell by 2,546.94 points to settle at 177,955.51, representing a 1.41 percent decrease.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market turnover showed a slight decrease in the regular market, with 1,038,636,917 shares traded compared to the previous 1,047,676,312. However, the traded value saw an increase, reaching 50,741,137,279 from the previous 48,325,028,485. The market capitalization experienced a decline, falling from 20,198,564,535,036 to 19,906,150,759,542.

The derivatives market also saw activity, with the DFC turnover increasing to 248,174,500 from 238,938,500, and the traded value rising to 14,100,785,395 from the previous 13,288,785,775. The ODL turnover also increased slightly, with 3,788 shares traded compared to the previous 2,867. There was no reported activity in the CSF category.
