Karachi: The KSE30 and KSE100 indices experienced declines today, with both indices closing lower than their previous sessions. The KSE30 index decreased by 412.22 points to end at 47,890.76, while the KSE100 index fell by 1,354.88 points, closing at 155,777.21. This represents percentage decreases of 0.85% and 0.86%, respectively, in the indices.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market turnover also showed a significant decrease. The regular market turnover fell from 770,695,162 shares to 622,692,153 shares, with a corresponding decline in traded value from 44,363,188,779 to 29,950,317,848. Similarly, the Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) turnover decreased from 164,235,500 shares to 123,812,500 shares, and its traded value dropped from 8,293,819,780 to 4,803,281,285.
Market capitalization witnessed a decline, closing at 17,522,090,979,034 compared to the previous session's 17,631,598,908,615. The day's trading saw fluctuations, with KSE30 reaching a high of 48,586.08 and a low of 47,532.12, while KSE100 recorded a peak at 157,962.48 and a trough at 154,790.74.
