KSE Indices Decline as Market Experiences Downturn

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange saw a downturn on September 24, 2026, with significant declines in its key indices. The KSE30 index fell by 544.11 points to close at 50,739.70, while the KSE100 index decreased by 1,733.57 points, ending the day at 170,498.95. This represents a percentage decrease of 1.06 for the KSE30 and 1.01 for the KSE100.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the session witnessed a decrease in market capitalization, which stood at 18,971,042,131,404 compared to the previous 19,178,716,735,687. The traded value showed an increase to 27,539,926,430 from the previous 26,453,393,949. The turnover for regular trading fell slightly to 759,974,194 from 773,593,742. In contrast, the turnover for direct foreign contracts rose significantly, reaching 526,471,500 from the previous 456,574,000.

The day's trading range for the KSE indices showed that the highest points reached were 51,366.75 for the KSE30 and 172,491.17 for the KSE100, while the lowest points recorded were 50,697.28 and 170,418.38, respectively. The overall market performance reflected a cautious sentiment among investors amid these fluctuations.
