Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices, KSE30 and KSE100, experienced a decline in the latest trading session, with both indices posting losses. The KSE30 index fell by 151.34 points, closing at 50,169.05, while the KSE100 index saw a decrease of 293.50 points, ending the session at 165,517.51.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market demonstrated a reduction in both turnover and traded value. The overall market turnover decreased significantly from the previous session, with recorded figures of 888,566,694 compared to the last turnover of 1,245,185,842. Additionally, the traded value saw a reduction, marking 54,281,450,680, compared to the previous figure of 54,404,038,699. The market capitalization also witnessed a decline, standing at 18,264,748,787,446 from a previous value of 18,322,687,639,104.
Further, the specific sectors such as DFC and ODL also showed a downturn in both turnover and traded values. DFC recorded a turnover of 165,510,000 with a traded value of 11,940,031,280, while ODL reported a turnover of 3,840 and a traded value of 81,320. Despite these declines, CSF saw a slight increase in turnover and traded value. The market's overall performance indicates a cautious approach by investors amidst fluctuating market conditions.
