KSE Indices Decline as Market Sees Significant Downturn

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange experienced a substantial downturn as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices declined significantly. The KSE30 index fell by 1,566.54 points to close at 45,487.49, while the KSE100 index decreased by 4,687.51 points, ending at 149,178.66. This marked a percentage decrease of 3.33% for the KSE30 and 3.05% for the KSE100.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market turnover showed a slight decline with 298,270,588 shares traded, compared to the previous 303,016,592 shares. The traded value increased to 20,185,228,434 from 14,690,560,352 in the previous session. Market capitalization decreased from 17,329,091,485,281 to 16,825,134,856,255. The Daily Financial Companies (DFC) saw an increase in turnover and traded value, while Ordinary Daily Listings (ODL) also experienced a rise in both areas.
