KSE Indices Decline as Market Turnover Increases

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) experienced a downturn on July 7, 2026, as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices closed lower compared to the previous day. The KSE30 index fell by 457.96 points, or 0.82 percent, ending at 55,672.44, while the KSE100 index decreased by 1,199.14 points, or 0.64 percent, closing at 186,255.55.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market saw an increase in trading activity despite the decline in indices. The turnover for regular trading reached 984,846,927 shares, up from 888,404,732 shares previously. The traded value, however, showed a decrease, with current figures at 45,704,770,197 compared to the previous 49,980,523,552. Market capitalization also saw a reduction to 20,856,654,511,866 from 20,986,192,652,536.

The data reflects mixed trading patterns, with the KSE indices reaching highs of 56,302.75 for the KSE30 and 188,126.68 for the KSE100 during the session, though both indices ended lower by the close of trading. The day's low for the KSE30 was 55,642.76 and 186,189.21 for the KSE100.
