KSE Indices Drop Amid Declining Market Capitalization

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange experienced a significant decline on July 14, 2026, with both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices showing notable decreases. The KSE30 fell by 1,996.09 points to close at 51,709.62, while the KSE100 dropped by 6,408.23 points, ending the day at 173,518.82. These decreases represent percentage declines of 3.72% and 3.56% respectively.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the day's trading saw an increased turnover in regular market operations, with 912,613,589 shares changing hands, up from the previous day's 845,279,000 shares. Despite the increased activity, the traded value rose to 45,613,615,395, compared to 35,550,973,259 previously. However, market capitalization saw a decrease, falling from 20,289,912,886,831 to 19,583,665,724,158.

The decline in market performance was also reflected in the DFC and ODL segments. The DFC turnover increased to 223,549,500 from 189,238,500, with traded value rising to 11,398,453,655. The ODL segment saw a turnover of 8,809, up from 2,987, with a traded value of 158,939. Despite these increases in turnover, the overall market capitalization did not see corresponding gains, indicating a challenging day for the stock exchange.
