Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) witnessed a decline in its key indices on September 2, 2026, with both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices experiencing losses. The KSE30 fell by 498.16 points to close at 52,134.27, while the KSE100 dropped by 1,690.40 points, ending the day at 174,776.60.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market recorded a decrease in both turnover and traded value. The turnover for regular (REG) transactions was 610,181,231 shares, down from the previous 784,465,994 shares, with the traded value also declining to 31,860,817,199 from 37,410,245,919. Market capitalization saw a reduction, now standing at 19,581,016,462,384 compared to the previous 19,781,733,106,589.
The data indicated that the KSE30 index reached a high of 52,475.87 and a low of 52,069.81, while the KSE100 index's high was 175,841.83 and low was 174,562.88. The percentage change for both indices was approximately -0.95% and -0.96%, respectively. Other market segments, like the deferred (DFC) and odd lot (ODL) categories, also showed decreased activity.
