KSE Indices Rise as Market Shows Growth

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange's major indices closed higher on August 28, 2026, with the KSE30 and KSE100 both registering gains. The KSE30 rose by 184.89 points, an increase of 0.35 percent, closing at 52,933.03. Meanwhile, the KSE100 ended at 177,696.51, marking a rise of 373.73 points, or 0.21 percent.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market's performance was marked by a significant increase in turnover and traded value. The turnover for regular market shares reached 658,326,628, up from 614,057,465, while the traded value stood at 31,454,390,355, compared to the previous 34,547,377,761. Additionally, the market capitalization increased from 19,860,499,584,712 to 19,885,390,257,718.

The derivatives and futures market saw varied activity, with the Deliverable Futures Contracts (DFC) turnover rising to 859,711,500 from 500,393,500, accompanied by an increase in traded value to 34,757,720,015 from 27,033,428,180. However, the Odd Lot Market (ODL) experienced a decrease in both turnover and traded value. The CFS market remained inactive.

The Karachi Stock Exchange's performance indicates positive momentum despite fluctuations in certain market segments.
