KSE Indices See Modest Gains Amid Increased Trading Activity

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices experienced slight gains on September 16, 2025, as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indexes rose, reflecting increased trading activity across the market. The KSE30 index closed at 47,714.39, up from its previous close of 47,466.99, marking an increase of 247.40 points or 0.52 percent. Meanwhile, the KSE100 index ended the day at 156,180.94, a rise of 796.43 points or 0.51 percent from its prior close of 155,384.51.

Trading volumes saw a significant uptick, with turnover in the regular market reaching 1,356,004,531 shares, a notable increase from the previous day's 857,609,724 shares. The traded value also surged, with current figures at 43,278,353,669, compared to the earlier 32,724,529,471. The market capitalization rose slightly to 18,383,208,691,842 from 18,276,698,087,968.

In the futures market, turnover climbed to 243,044,500 shares from 162,638,000, while the traded value increased to 10,408,762,140 from 9,114,001,850. However, open deliverable contracts saw a decrease, ending the day at 241, compared to the previous figure of 733.

The market displayed resilience amid a fluctuating trading session, with indices reaching highs of 47,843.11 for KSE30 and 156,467.92 for KSE100. The lows recorded were 47,591.76 and 155,781.84, respectively.
