Karachi: Pakistan’s stock market indices, KSE30 and KSE100, recorded gains on December 12, 2025, despite a decrease in market turnover. The KSE30 index rose by 495.07 points, closing at 51,670.42, while the KSE100 index increased by 1,289.83 points, ending the day at 169,864.53.
The trading session saw the KSE30 hitting a high of 51,731.06 and a low of 51,077.45, whereas the KSE100 reached a high of 170,052.88 and a low of 168,421.55. The KSE30 and KSE100 experienced percentage changes of 0.97 and 0.77 respectively.
Despite the positive movement in indices, the market turnover saw a decline. The regular market (REG) turnover fell from 1,288,969,191 to 873,030,955, with the traded value decreasing from 55,231,193,019 to 40,870,453,415.
The DFC turnover also declined from 224,650,000 to 177,125,000, and its traded value dropped from 10,890,799,545 to 9,628,421,840. Additionally, the ODL turnover and CSF turnover experienced declines in their respective traded values and volumes.
Market capitalization for the regular market slightly increased to 19,321,788,024,364 from the previous 19,217,620,340,321, indicating a slight positive sentiment among investors despite the lower trading volume.
