Karachi: In a day marked by modest gains in major indices, the Karachi Stock Exchange saw the KSE30 and KSE100 indices rise, despite a notable decline in market turnover. The KSE30 index increased by 239.59 points to close at 45,938.83, while the KSE100 index finished the day at 151,673.46, up by 465.64 points.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the day's trading reflected a decrease in turnover, with the regular market seeing a reduction from 457,211,680 shares traded previously to 357,269,204 shares. Despite the lower trading volume, the market capitalization rose slightly to 16,855,564,308,594 from 16,822,760,083,887. The traded value in the regular market also saw a decline from 30,876,525,494 to 20,436,695,018. The Deferred and Off-Deal markets similarly reported lower figures across all categories.
