KSE Indices Show Modest Gains Amid Decreased Trading Activity

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices demonstrated slight upward movements as of June 2, 2026, with both KSE30 and KSE100 closing in positive territory. The KSE30 index rose by 158.45 points to reach 51,134.36, while the KSE100 index increased by 421.57 points, closing at 171,021.77. Despite these gains, overall market activity saw a decline in terms of turnover and traded value.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market turnover for the regular market (REG) was recorded at 550,790,018, down from the previous 589,758,762. The traded value also decreased, reaching 27,443,685,040 compared to 31,984,295,314 previously. The market capitalization showed a slight increase, moving to 18,939,988,798,406 from 18,876,335,616,770.

Furthermore, the daily financial close (DFC) segment also experienced a downturn in trading activity. The turnover for DFC was 112,140,500, a decrease from the prior 135,530,000, with the traded value also falling to 6,517,897,990 from 8,048,409,455. The odd-lot market (ODL) saw an increase in turnover from 2,152 to 3,805, with a corresponding rise in traded value to 69,778 from 45,273.

These figures highlight a mixed day for the Karachi Stock Exchange, with indices climbing modestly amid a drop in trading volume and value.
