KSE Indices Show Modest Gains as Market Capitalization Rises

Karachi: The KSE30 and KSE100 indices showed slight improvements as trading concluded on February 2, 2026, with the KSE30 increasing by 346.11 points to close at 56,808.99, and the KSE100 rising by 883.35 points to 185,057.83. This indicates a percentage change of 0.61% and 0.48% respectively, reflecting a stable performance across key sectors.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the trading session witnessed fluctuations with the KSE indices reaching their highs at 56,985.86 for KSE30 and 185,611.73 for KSE100, while the lows were recorded at 55,955.68 and 182,792.40 respectively. The overall turnover saw a decrease from the previous session, with the regular (REG) category reporting a turnover of 740,092,828, a drop from the prior 805,139,388. The traded value in REG also decreased to 42,204,289,930 from 50,833,806,208.

The market capitalization reflected a positive trend, rising to 20,969,280,357,768 from the previous 20,827,459,192,079. In the debt finance category (DFC), the turnover experienced a significant decline, with current figures at 114,500,500, compared to the previous 762,973,000, and the traded value decreasing to 9,205,180,490 from 44,141,734,800. In contrast, the odd lot (ODL) category showed a slight increase in turnover and traded value, with figures moving to 2,333 and 51,349 respectively. The cash settled futures (CSF) category remained inactive with no turnover or traded value recorded.
