Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices experienced an uptick on August 12, 2026, with the KSE30 climbing to 53,712.97 and the KSE100 reaching 180,311.22. Both indices registered a percentage increase of 0.26. Despite the positive movement in the indices, overall market turnover saw a decline.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the current turnover in the regular market stood at 744,237,154, down from the previous figure of 860,261,868. The traded value also decreased, with the current value at 32,192,761,860 compared to the previous 38,862,124,676. Meanwhile, the market capitalization increased marginally to 20,177,381,788,105 from 20,141,872,786,313.
The indices reached their highest points at 53,897.71 for the KSE30 and 180,901.27 for the KSE100, while the lowest points were recorded at 53,549.09 and 179,920.10, respectively. The day's trading figures reflect a market grappling with lower trading volume despite the gains in index values.
