KSE Indices Show Modest Gains as Market Volatility Continues

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices ended the trading day with modest gains on September 30, 2026, as the KSE30 index rose to 50,644.27 and the KSE100 index climbed to 169,969.33. Both indices experienced a positive change, closing higher by 187.28 points and 368.92 points, respectively. Despite fluctuations throughout the day, the stock market demonstrated resilience with a notable increase in turnover.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited: The day's trading was marked by an increase in the traded value and market capitalization. The regular market saw a turnover of 591,234,897 shares, up from 568,040,396 shares in the previous session. The traded value in the regular market decreased slightly to 20,191,629,499 from 20,812,517,064, while the market capitalization rose to 18,927,613,556,374 from 18,890,040,972,050. Meanwhile, the Deliverable Futures Contract (DFC) segment recorded a turnover of 121,265,000 shares with a traded value of 5,495,718,520.

Throughout the trading day, the KSE30 index fluctuated between a high of 51,143.55 and a low of 50,611.20, while the KSE100 index reached a high of 171,492.53 and a low of 169,872.14. The market's performance reflects ongoing uncertainty and investor caution in response to broader economic conditions.
