KSE Indices Surge as KSE100 Gains 710 Points

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) witnessed significant gains as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices rose sharply, according to data released by the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. The KSE100 index closed at 162,936.94, marking an increase of 710.66 points, or 0.44 percent. Similarly, the KSE30 index gained 217.28 points to close at 49,445.82, also representing a 0.44 percent rise.

During the day's trading session, the KSE100 index reached a high of 163,817.83 before settling slightly lower. The lowest point for the index during the session was recorded at 162,646.98. Meanwhile, the KSE30 index peaked at 49,773.12 and saw a low of 49,340.75.

The market turnover showed a decrease with the regular market (REG) trading 725,868,957 shares compared to the previous 1,029,780,020 shares. The traded value also fell to 35,317,113,992 from 45,177,906,733.

Futures market (FUT) activity also saw a decline, with 166,593,500 shares traded compared to the previous 242,537,500 shares. The traded value in futures dropped to 9,520,335,180 from 12,357,332,985.

The overall market capitalization exhibited a slight increase, reaching 18,585,377,763,720 from 18,483,143,807,177. The indices' performance reflects a positive sentiment in the market, despite a reduction in trading volume.
