KSE Indices Surge as KSE30 and KSE100 Gain Substantial Ground

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange witnessed a significant upswing on Thursday, with both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices closing markedly higher compared to the previous trading session. The KSE30 index rose by 758.11 points, closing at 50,494.04, while the KSE100 index surged by 2,184.78 points, ending the day at 165,373.31.

The day saw the KSE30 index reach a high of 50,577.86 and a low of 49,837.26, while the KSE100 index peaked at 165,611.11 and reached a low of 163,509.29. The percentage increases were 1.52 and 1.34 for the KSE30 and KSE100 indices, respectively.

Market dynamics reflected mixed activity, with total turnover figures showing a decrease from the previous session. Regular market turnover fell from 636,408,304 to 498,356,840. However, the Delivery Futures Contract (DFC) segment saw a rise in turnover, increasing from 491,196,000 to 595,956,500.

In terms of traded value, the regular market reported a slight decline from 30,919,710,199 to 30,591,494,818. Conversely, the DFC segment experienced a drop in traded value, falling from 31,016,427,895 to 27,198,823,560.

Market capitalization in the regular market increased to 18,744,285,398,265 from the previous 18,512,904,457,653, reflecting investor confidence in the market's upward trajectory.

This positive shift in the indices suggests a robust performance by the Karachi Stock Exchange, driven by investor optimism and increased market activity.
