KSE Indices Surge as Market Capitalization Increases

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices experienced a significant rise, with the KSE30 and KSE100 indices closing higher than their previous positions. The KSE30 concluded at 50,737.15, a rise of 386.66 points, while the KSE100 closed at 170,330.56, up by 1,376.85 points.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market saw an increase in turnover and traded value. The current turnover for regular trading stood at 767,453,293, up from 657,970,727, and the traded value increased to 27,176,386,002 from 22,594,311,504. The market capitalization also saw a rise, reaching 18,908,288,808,361 from 18,749,529,074,482. The deferred settlement contracts (DFC) turnover also increased to 141,884,000, and its traded value rose to 5,880,441,760. However, the odd lots (ODL) trading showed a decrease in turnover and traded value.

The market's upward movement is reflected in the indices' highs and lows, with KSE30 reaching a high of 51,010.54 and a low of 50,720.13, while KSE100 recorded a high of 171,022.94 and a low of 170,250.27. The percentage changes for KSE30 and KSE100 were 0.77 and 0.81, respectively.
