Karachi: The KSE30 and KSE100 indices experienced notable gains, closing at 51,723.30 and 168,893.09, respectively, as investor confidence appeared to bolster trading volumes and market capitalization.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the KSE30 index rose by 1,380.77 points, a 2.74% increase from its previous close of 50,342.54. Similarly, the KSE100 index climbed by 4,266.79 points, marking a 2.59% rise from 164,626.29. The market saw the KSE100 index reach a high of 169,374.27 and a low of 162,953.64 during the session.
In terms of market activity, the regular market turnover increased to 692,402,897 from the previous figure of 619,628,014. Traded value also saw a rise, with current figures at 35,804,122,081 compared to 29,252,677,636 previously. Market capitalization showed an increase, climbing to 19,019,274,891,087 from the prior 18,668,510,859,888.
The data reflects a positive sentiment among investors, as trading volumes and values surged across various sectors, indicating a robust market performance.
