KSE Indices Surge as Market Sees Significant Gains

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange witnessed significant gains on May 25, 2026, with both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices experiencing notable increases. The KSE30 index closed at 51,517.14, up from its previous close of 50,308.01, representing a change of 1,209.13 points or 2.40 percent. Similarly, the KSE100 index rose to 171,725.29 from 167,844.25, marking an increase of 3,881.05 points or 2.31 percent.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market turnover for regular trades saw an upsurge, with a total of 506,355,873 shares traded, compared to the previous 480,818,521 shares. The traded value increased significantly to 31,146,553,699 from 22,721,302,279. The market capitalization also saw growth, reaching 18,989,047,805,384 from the previous 18,616,476,172,111.

The daily financial report also highlighted a notable rise in direct foreign corporate trades, with shares turnover climbing to 331,394,500 from 226,439,000, and the traded value jumping to 18,440,944,615 from 10,160,099,430. The report did not include figures for the turnover and traded value under the open-deal liability and clean slate financing categories.
