Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange witnessed a substantial uptick in trading activity on January 6, 2026, as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices posted significant gains. The KSE30 index rose by 929.65 points to close at 57,080.05, while the KSE100 index increased by 2,653.87 points, ending the day at 185,062.11.
The KSE30 index saw a percentage change of 1.66, and the KSE100 index recorded a 1.45 percent rise, indicating a strong market performance. The indices reached their highs at 57,244.68 and 185,481.45, respectively, during the trading session.
Turnover for regular trading (REG) stood at 1,306,062,437 shares, with a traded value of 85,321,647,789, compared to the previous day’s 1,384,300,327 shares and value of 78,095,494,768. Market capitalization for REG increased to 20,740,516,622,855 from 20,509,637,410,088.
In the Deliverable Futures Contracts (DFC) segment, turnover decreased to 274,139,000 from 307,050,000, with a traded value of 18,685,843,425, up from 16,871,713,285.
Odd-lot (ODL) transactions saw a slight increase, with 1,645 shares traded compared to the previous 1,436, and a traded value of 34,102 compared to 28,947.
Cash Settled Futures (CSF) reported a turnover of 3,732,000, up from 2,805,000, with traded value rising to 1,006,431,745 from 706,150,890.
