KSE Indices Surge as Trading Volume Increases

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange indices, KSE30 and KSE100, experienced significant gains on July 16, 2026, with both indices rising by over 1.6 percent. This increase was accompanied by a surge in trading volume and market capitalization, indicating a robust trading day.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the KSE30 index closed at 53,163.60, up 842.62 points from the previous close of 52,320.98. Similarly, the KSE100 index saw a rise of 2,837.78 points, closing at 178,123.57, compared to the previous figure of 175,285.78. The high for KSE30 was recorded at 53,287.59, while KSE100 peaked at 178,431.74 during the day.

Trading activity showed a marked increase with a turnover of 736,955,673 shares in the regular market, up from 583,804,947 shares. The traded value in the regular market rose to 34,609,412,979, from the previous 26,045,172,902. Market capitalization also saw an uplift, reaching 20,039,920,166,244 from 19,782,980,610,092, reflecting a positive market sentiment. The data reflects a substantial improvement in trading dynamics and investor confidence on this trading day.
