Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange witnessed a notable upswing in its indices with the KSE30 and KSE100 both recording substantial gains. The KSE30 index closed at 50,855.17, marking an increase of 361.13 points or 0.72%, while the KSE100 index climbed to 166,677.70, rising by 1,304.39 points or 0.79%.

The day's trading session saw significant activity, with the market turnover reaching 592,746,555 in the regular market, compared to the previous 498,356,840. The traded value also saw an increase, amounting to 41,968,173,456 from the prior 30,591,494,818.

In the derivatives market, the turnover rose to 824,594,000 from 595,956,500, with a traded value of 40,306,094,700, up from 27,198,823,560.

Market capitalization experienced an upward trend, reaching 18,866,440,149,612 from the previous 18,744,285,398,265.

The indices reached their highest at 51,117.09 for KSE30 and 167,005.05 for KSE100 and their lowest at 50,666.87 and 165,753.36, respectively.

The data reflects a positive investor sentiment and increased market confidence. The stock exchange's performance today indicates robust trading activity, contributing to the overall growth in market capitalization.
