KSE Market Indices Surge Amid Increased Trading Activity

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) experienced a notable upswing as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices recorded significant gains on September 18, 2026. The KSE30 rose by 585.22 points, closing at 50,883.00, while the KSE100 surged by 1,841.39 points to reach 170,884.59. This increase marked percentage changes of 1.16% and 1.09%, respectively.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the trading session was marked by heightened market activity, with a significant increase in turnover and traded value. The regular market turnover rose to 576,257,960 from the previous 386,368,068, while the traded value increased to 22,408,641,290 from 20,091,221,846. Market capitalization for the regular market also saw an increase, reaching 19,038,154,170,297 compared to the previous 18,847,353,485,602. The derivatives and odd lot markets also experienced increases in turnover and traded value, contributing to the overall market performance.
