KSE100 Index Gains Slightly as KSE30 Sees Decline

Karachi: The KSE100 index saw a modest rise, closing at 180,511.02, while the KSE30 index experienced a slight decline, closing at 53,841.27. The numbers reflect mixed sentiments in the market activity as traders navigated through fluctuating stock values.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the KSE100 index increased by 118.05 points, marking a 0.07 percent gain from the previous close of 180,392.98. Conversely, the KSE30 index fell by 80.15 points, or 0.15 percent, from the previous day's close of 53,921.42. The indices reached highs of 181,357.70 and 54,217.08 and lows of 179,564.17 and 53,591.38, respectively.

The turnover in the regular market increased slightly to 1,230,536,427 shares, compared to 1,224,397,630 shares previously, with a traded value of 69,215,806,566. The deferred market turnover saw a decrease to 193,175,000 shares from 227,844,500 shares, with a corresponding drop in traded value to 10,519,762,830. Overall market capitalization rose to 20,125,373,743,113 from the previous 20,052,912,411,855, indicating a cautious but positive outlook among investors.
